Important Action To Register A Business Domain

Important Action To Register A Business Domain

Your Prism account can be configured to email your owners and staff from email address(es) you choose. However, we can no longer configure your Prism account to email from generic email domains such as @gmail.com, @bigpond.com, @yahoo.com, @xtra.co.nz, etc.

Sending emails from generic email domains adds security risk for you and your customers.

Instead, we need to configure your Prism account to send emails from a registered business domain that you own, such as yourbusiness.com.au or yourbusiness.co.nz, etc.

Already own a registered business domain?

Here is what you need to do if do own a registered business domain.
  1. Establish email address(es) linked to that domain via your Domain Registrar.
  2. Let us know what your business domain is and what email address(es) you have setup.
Once those steps are complete, please contact us at support@prism.horse and we will send instructions to add security to your domain and configure your Prism account to email from your new email address(es).

Don't own a registered business domain?

It is important you secure your domain for your own security. Don't let anyone else purchase a domain that looks like your business and pretend to be you.

In fact, many organisations also secure similar domain names for further protection. For example, you may purchase yourbusiness.com.au as your primary domain, but also purchase yourbusiness.com and yourbusiness.au to ensure nobody else can buy them.

Here is what you need to do if you do not own a registered business domain.
  1. Secure your domain now via a Domain Registrar in Australia or New Zealand.
  2. Establish email address(es) linked to that domain via your Domain Registrar.
  3. Let me know what your business domain is and what email address(es) you have setup.
Once those steps are complete, please contact us at support@prism.horse and we will send instructions to add security to your domain and configure your Prism account to email from your new email address(es).
